Partial Discharge Monitoring for EHV GIS

DMS introduced the world’s first continuous, on-line partial discharge monitor (PDM) for GIS in 1993. Since then the PDMG-R System has proved an invaluable tool to detect and alarm on potentially dangerous, developing dielectric faults before failure can occur.  Utilising advanced UHF technology, the PDMG-R System collects PD data from couplers installed on the GIS and transmits this information to PC based software for expert interpretation and analysis - allowing the condition of the insulation system to be simply and effectively monitored over the asset life.
